Re: Correlation study: residential sleep-signal data and infrastructure adjustment cycle
Summary: The present study examines the correlation between aggregated sleep-signal data collected by the passive residential monitoring infrastructure (installed Year 3, Sections 4 through 12) and the infrastructure adjustment decisions implemented by central planning over the eleven-year period of available data.
Methodology: Dream-content indices were derived from passive aggregate monitoring during sleeping hours across the residential zones covered by the infrastructure. Dream-content classification was automated. Classifications were correlated against infrastructure decisions in a 30-day pre/post window for each documented change.
Findings: Of 847 documented infrastructure adjustments over the eleven-year study period, 801 were preceded by a statistically significant shift in the aggregate dream-content index of the residential zones most directly affected. The average lead time was 12.7 days. The reverse correlation, infrastructure adjustments preceding dream-content shifts, was present in 11 cases, all of which fall within a secondary monitoring classification noted in Appendix C.
Note on causality: The infrastructure adjustment cycle is not causing the dreams. The dreams preceded the adjustments in 94.6% of documented cases. The interpretation of this finding is outside the scope of the present study.
